AI assistants: ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Cursor

Mitos goes into ChatGPT or Claude as a custom connector, and into Claude Code or Cursor as an MCP server. You give it one address, sign in to Mitos and choose the organization the app will see.

Updated

The address

Every app takes the same address: https://mcp.sar-soft.com/mcp. Mitos also shows it, with a copy button, on the Overview and on the AI access page.

For an agent or a directory, the server describes itself at https://mcp.sar-soft.com/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json (the MCP Server Card). The docs are in Markdown too: add .md to the address of a docs page, or read https://mitos.sar-soft.com/llms-full.txt for all of them in one file.

ChatGPT

What you need: a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan, on the web, with developer mode turned on.

  1. Turn on developer modeIn ChatGPT on the web, open Settings, then Apps and Advanced settings, and turn on developer mode.
  2. Create the appIn Apps, choose Create, name it Mitos, paste the address and choose OAuth for authentication.
  3. Sign in and choose your businessChatGPT opens Mitos. Sign in or create an account, choose the organization and select Authorize.
  4. AskIn a new chat, add Mitos from the tools and ask, for example: How did the business do last month?

Sources you connect later appear in ChatGPT once you refresh the app's actions in its settings. The full guide: Connect Mitos to ChatGPT.

Claude

What you need: any plan. Free allows one custom connector, and on Team and Enterprise an owner adds it first.

  1. Add a connectorIn Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the addressName it Mitos, paste the address and choose Add.
  3. Sign in and choose your businessChoose Connect. Claude opens Mitos: sign in or create an account, choose the organization and select Authorize.
  4. AskIn a new chat, make sure Mitos is on in the tools and ask, for example: Why did traffic drop this week?

The connector then appears in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile. The full guide: Connect Mitos to Claude.

Claude Code

What you need: Claude Code installed, with a Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise or Console account. The free Claude plan does not include Claude Code.

  1. Add the serverIn a terminal, in the folder you work in, run claude mcp add --transport http mitos https://mcp.sar-soft.com/mcp. Without other options it is added for that folder only. To have it in every project, put --scope user before mitos.
  2. Sign inStart Claude Code, run /mcp and follow the sign-in steps for mitos in your browser. You can also run claude mcp login mitos in the terminal.
  3. Choose your businessYour browser opens Mitos. Sign in or create an account, check that the page says an app on this computer is asking for access, choose the organization and select Authorize.
  4. AskIn a Claude Code session, ask in plain language, for example: Which pages brought the most sales this month?

The full guide: Connect Mitos to Claude Code. More in Anthropic's guide.

Cursor

What you need: the Cursor editor installed on your computer.

  1. Add the serverOpen ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or .cursor/mcp.json in one project, add { "mcpServers": { "mitos": { "url": "https://mcp.sar-soft.com/mcp" } } } and save. If the file already lists servers, put mitos inside mcpServers next to them.
  2. Sign inOpen Cursor's settings, find mitos among the MCP servers and choose to sign in next to it. Cursor opens Mitos in your browser.
  3. Choose your businessSign in or create an account, check that the page says an app on this computer is asking for access, choose the organization and select Authorize.
  4. AskIn Cursor's chat, ask in plain language, for example: Which searches brought clicks to the site last week? By default, Cursor asks for your approval before it uses an MCP tool.

The full guide: Connect Mitos to Cursor. More in Cursor's guide.

Approvals in Claude Code and Cursor

Claude Code and Cursor have no approval panel like the one Mitos opens in ChatGPT. By default, a change that needs approval comes through the app's own Allow prompt, which asks you to allow the sar_confirm_approval tool from Mitos. Allow it only for a change you asked for. If your organization has turned this off, the answer gives you a link to approve it in Mitos.

  • If you set Claude Code or Cursor to always allow that tool, it stops asking.
  • That is why an organization owner can require a 6-digit code on top, in Mitos, under Settings: Require a 6-digit code in apps without a panel.

More in Safety and approvals.

One organization per connection

  • Each connection answers for one organization, the one you choose when you connect.
  • For a second business or a second client, add Mitos again as a second connector (in Claude Code or Cursor, a second server under another name) and choose that organization.
  • Each member of the organization connects their own app with their own Mitos account.
  • Only owners' and admins' AI assistants can ask for changes, and only on sources where changes are allowed. Analysts and members read.

Revoking access

The AI access page in Mitos lists every AI assistant that members of the organization connected, who authorized it and when it was last used.

  • Choose Disconnect next to an app. It loses access within about a minute.
  • The "Never used" group collects connectors that were added again and left behind. You can disconnect them all at once.
  • Disconnecting cannot be undone: an app that needs access again has to be reconnected from the app itself.
  • You can also remove the connector in ChatGPT's or Claude's own settings, the server from Claude Code with claude mcp remove mitos, or its lines from Cursor's mcp.json.

If something is off

  • If you see a page saying the app is not recognised, remove Mitos from the AI assistant and add it again.
  • If a source is missing, check in Connections that a property or site is chosen for it, and in ChatGPT refresh the app's actions.
  • If an answer says a source needs reconnecting, reconnect it in Connections.
