What you need

- For WordPress: a site on WordPress 6.2 or newer, served over HTTPS, and an administrator login. WooCommerce is optional.
- For Google Analytics or Search Console: the Google account that can see your property or site.
- An AI assistant: ChatGPT (Plus or higher, on the web), Claude on any plan, Claude Code, or Cursor.

2. Install the plugin on WordPress
- Open your site's plugin pageChoose Start free on this site and type your site's address. Your own wp-admin opens on its plugin page, searching for Mitos.
- Or download itIf the plugin does not show up there, download it from the same sheet or from Connections in Mitos, and upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Activate itChoose Install Now, then Activate. Its updates then appear under Plugins, like any other plugin's.
3. Connect your sources
During setup, the sources step offers them one by one. You can skip it and connect them later from Connections.
- WordPressChoose Connect WordPress, enter your site's address and choose Continue to WordPress. You approve Mitos on WordPress's own screen; no password is typed. Details in Connect WordPress.
- Google Analytics and Search ConsoleChoose Connect, sign in with your Google account and pick the properties you want, each for one of your sites. No WordPress? Add your website by its domain. Details in Connect Google.
- Anything else you useMagento connects with an integration access token, and outside SEO data from DataForSEO, Semrush, Ahrefs or SE Ranking with your own key.
4. Add Mitos to your AI assistant
The address you paste is https://mcp.sar-soft.com/mcp. Mitos also shows it in the last setup step and on the AI access page.
- ChatGPT: turn on developer mode, create an app with that address and choose OAuth.
- Claude: open Settings → Connectors, add a custom connector and paste the address.
- Claude Code: add the server with one command in your terminal. The steps: Connect Mitos to Claude Code.
- Cursor: add the server to Cursor's
mcp.json. The steps: Connect Mitos to Cursor. - When asked, sign in to Mitos, choose the organization and select Authorize.
The exact steps for each app are in AI assistants.
5. Ask your first question
Open a new chat, make sure Mitos is on in the tools, and ask in plain language. For example:
- How did the business do last month?
- Which pages lost the most Google clicks in the last 28 days, and why?
- Which products sold best this month, and which are running low?
Your AI assistant writes the answers, and they can be wrong. Check important figures in the source. For more ideas, see the cookbook.
Read-only by default
Every source connects read-only: your AI assistant can read it but change nothing. For it to make changes, an owner or admin of the organization chooses Allow changes on the source's card in Connections.
- On WordPress, new content is created as a draft, and anything visitors would see (publishing, prices, stock) waits for your approval, in the chat where your AI assistant supports it, otherwise in Mitos.
- On Google Analytics, Google asks again for permission, changes apply only to the properties you chose, and each new item waits for approval.
- Search Console and Magento always stay read-only.
- Make read-only turns a source back to reading straight away.
Who approves what, and what can be undone: Safety and approvals.
