A guest writer invited with just enough access

Add a guest writer with a role that lets them write but not run the site; WordPress emails them a link to choose their own password.

The prompt

Invite [name] ([email]) to write for my blog. Show me the roles I can give and which of them can manage the site, and suggest the one that lets them write posts but not publish them, such as [Contributor]. Check they aren't already a user. Then send the invitation.

Already connected?

If Mitos is already in your AI assistant, this is enough:

Already connected?

Invite [name] ([email]) as a [Contributor] on my blog.

What happens

  1. The AI assistant reads the roles you may give, which of them can manage the whole site, and how many users have each.
  2. It lists your users to check the person isn't already one. Emails are shortened.
  3. Adding the user waits for your approval, in the chat where your AI assistant supports it, otherwise in Mitos; a role that can manage the site also needs an extra check that it's really you, with a 6-digit code. It can be undone.
  4. WordPress emails them a link to choose their own password. Mitos never sees or sets it.
